 Support for Leading Korean Studies Research : This project is designed to provide support for domestic and foreign scholars specializing in Korean studies who conduct creative interdisciplinary research of high-standard that will set up long-lasting examples for others to follow.

 Reinforcement of Korean Studies Education:
This project is designed to provide support for research institutions specializing in Korean studies and the formation of a research network worldwide. The project also includes supports and training for forthcoming generations of scholars in Korean studies with a vision to globalized development of Korean studies education befitting the economic power and political influence of Korea.

 Establishing Korean Studies Infrastructure :
This project is designed to lay the foundations for the relevant academic research, including the collection of basic source materials for Korean Studies, the establishment of archives and databases, and the compilation of dictionaries and encyclopedias of essential knowledge, while facilitating the cultural contents and advancing in contemporary  Korean studies.

 Popularization of Korean Studies : 
This project is designed to share the fruits of academic achievement in Korean studies with the general public both in and out of the country. We intend to encourage the public take an interest in Korean studies by publishing quality introductions and translations of relevant contents.
