Korean Studies website.
Since founded in 1978 with the aim to promote Korean studies and culture, the Academy of Korean Studies has been researching the culture and traditions that Korean people have built over the past 40 years and nurturing next-generation scholars.
Korean Studies is a discipline of studying the identity of Korean culture and the achievements that Koreans have gained by meeting and communicating with the world. In that sense, Korean studies is our own and, at the same time, constitutes a part of the world's knowledge. It is the study of discovering both intrinsic and universal values.
The Academy of Korean Studies actively responds to the changes of the times, explores the important values that persist in Korean culture and traditions, and interprets them from the perspective of modern people in an effort to contribute to building a new national culture and the development of human culture.
